Mencegah Perilaku Buruk Anak

Pernahkah anda merasa jengkel pada anak ya ng membantah perintah orangtua? Biasanya anak-anak pada usia balita (2-5 tahun) sedang nakal-nakalnya, karena pada usia itu anak-anak senang memikirkan keinginannya sendiri dan tidak memperdulikan omongan orangtuanya. Misalnya, seorang anak berusia 7 t ahun setiap kali ibunya menyuruh belajar, jawabannya selalu, “Tidak, nanti aja, Ma!” atau “Nggak ah, lagi malas Ma !”. Sikap membantah pada anak sebenarnya wajar-wajar saja. Anak-anak ingin menunjukkan bahwa dirinya berbeda dengan orang tuanya. Sifatnya ini sebenarnya menunjukkan perkembangan daya berpikir anak. Children’s Influence on Family Dynamics: The Neglected Side of Family Relationships

Any parent who has raised more than one child is likely to be keenly aware of subtle or even striking differences among their offspring. The central premise of this volume is that children bring personal qualities to their relationships with other family members that help shape family interaction, relationships, and even processes that family researchers have called “parenting.” The chapters address how children’s personal qualities make their mark on families in ways that may in turn influence children’s subsequent development.

The volume is based on the presentations and discussions from a national symposium on “Children’s influence on family dynamics: The neglected side of family relationships” held at the Pennsylvania State University, as the ninth in a series of annual interdisciplinary symposia focused on family issues. It is divided into four parts, each dealing with a different aspect of the topic. Part I sets the stage by focusing on the features of children that make a difference, as well as the kinds of research designs that are likely to shed light on the role of child influences. Part II focuses on early childhood, particularly the role of infant temperament and other individual differences in very young children in shaping their parents’ behaviors, reactions in turn that feedback and influence the developing child. Part III focuses on adolescence, a time when young people are able to exert more choice in how they spend their time and who they spend it with. Part IV pulls the themes of the volume together and points the way for future research.

See and Spy Counting (Baby Einstein Books)

My daughter is a year old now and has had this book since she was only a few weeks old. She loves everything “Baby Einstein” and this is by far her favorite of all the BE books. In fact, her first word was “book” and she was holding this one up when she said it! I really think it’s the bright orange tiger on the front. You can’t go wrong with any of the BE books. They have bold, bright pictures and poetic content. I love reading them to her but she also enjoys sitting on the floor and “reading” them to herself!

Neighborhood Animals (Baby Einstein Books)

This was one of my son’s favorite books from the time he was very little. The pictures of animals are large, and the babies love to look at them. I think it shows six different animals. The name of the animal is written in bold letters, and the phrases describing the animals are simple and not overwhelming to little ones. I’d recommend this book to any parent wanting to introduce their child to the world of animals. I’m buying this book as part of a birthday gift for a 1 yo. I think all the BE books are great! My 5 yo still enjoys reading some of them (especially the Violet series).

Mengapa Anak Sering berbohong ?

Seorang Ibu yang mempunyai anak berumur 7 tahun sering mengeluh kepada tetangganya, kalau anaknya akhir-akhir ini sering berbohong kepadanya. Si anak sering membawa mainan dari sekolah. Ketika ditanya mainan itu dari mana, si anak menjawab kalau mainan itu diberikan oleh tetangga. Padahal mainan itu diambilnya dari sekolahnya. Mengapa si anak sampai berbohong kepada orangtuanya ?Kemungkinan besar hal tersebut terjadi karena adanya faktor pendorong dari diri anak. Mungkin ia menginginkan sebuah mainan tetapi orangtuanya tidak mau memberikannya. Atau mungkin karena si anak ingin mendapatkan perhatian lebih atau bisa jadi karena faktor lingkungan di rumah, sekolah maupun masyarakat yang membentuk karakter dan sifat tidak jujur pada anak.
